| | Team Tryouts (Last Updated: 06/03/2010) | Tryouts for the Boys and Girls A tennis teams are:
June 8 and June 10: Girls 4:00-5:00, Boys 5:00-6:00
June 15 and June 17: Boys 4:00-5:00, Girls 5:00-6:00
The selection of the tennis team players will be based on a ladder starting June 17th. |

| | Adult Group Clinics (Last Updated: 06/03/2010) | Adult Clinics will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Tuesday, June 22 and running through Thursday, July 29. We will offer both a morning and night clinic if we have enough interest.
Morning Clinic: Tuesday and Thursday 9:00-10:00 AM.
Night Clinic: Tuesday and Thursday 6:00-7:00 PM.
The Cost is $100 for the 12 lesson clinic.

Parents we need your help. RMSTC spends money every year purchasing tennis balls for lessons. We realize that everyone appropriates them sometimes for their own use. How can one help it? They are right there on the ground after all. But, we ask you to remind the children to bring their own tennis balls from home for their tennis baseball games and not let the club’s tennis balls find their way into children’s pockets. We need these balls for the lessons! Thanks. |
| | Adult Mixed Doubles - Round Robins (Last Updated: 06/03/2010) | Save the Dates: June 11, June 25, July 9, July 23, August 13 and August 27
Would you like to keep in shape, socialize and improve your tennis game? Then please join in for some Friday night fun. Tennis Round Robins are planned @ RMSTC on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month, beginning on June 11th and starting @ 7p.m. Bring hors d'oeuvres to share and wine/beer to enjoy after tennis.
The cost of participating is a can of balls. If you bring a guest, the cost is a can of balls for each player and the guest fee. Young adults and older folks are welcome to participate. Sorry..........no raindates.

(Last Updated: 08/10/2009) | Congratulations to our Girls Tennis Team for winning the Sudbury Valley Junior Tennis League Championship yesterday by defeating the Wedgewood Club. This is the first girls championship in club history! Congratulations to all players and coaches. |

2010 Tennis
Lesson Schedule
Classes are twice per week,
offered Monday/Wednesday or
Tuesday/Thursday. The same
schedule is used each day.
Some levels have multiple time
slots and this schedule may have
to be adjusted based on demand.
Parents, please make sure your child only goes to the day and time of the lesson he or she is signed up for. Lessons cannot be made up if your child misses them. Please see the Tennis Bulletin Board to know what lesson your child is registered for. If you have a child in the tennis program, please be sure to put your email address on your activity sign-up sheet so you will be included in weekly news and schedule reminders from Alex. Thanks!

Children are generally slotted by age. After lessons start, if your
child is not properly slotted, adjustments between classes can be made based on
availability.

Items completed during the 2008 Season
· RMSTC Tennis Team Frequently Asked Questions and Code of Conduct. These documents discuss the difference between lessons and the A and B tennis teams and outline expectations for RMSTC tennis players and their parents. Please visit the web site to review!
· Set up shop with EmbroidMe, a locally owned business in Chelmsford for RMSTC Apparel.
· Hosted a Pasta Supper, Pancake Breakfasts and other funding raising activities to support the 2008 Swim-Dive and Tennis Teams Banquet.
· Hosted the 2008 Swim-Dive and Tennis Team Banquet!
Some of the committee initiatives for the 2010 Season. Please join us!
· Continue with regularly scheduled tennis team parent meetings.
· Coordinate reserving space at the tennis matches for the visiting teams to use.
· Fundraising. The 2009 Banquet will cost roughly $3,000. The Committee needs s to raise funds to support this. Ideas include:
· Pasta Dinners!
· Pancake Breakfasts - this is also team building!
· A parent-child tennis tournament
· Basket Raffle
· Coordinate Carpooling for Tennis Matches.
· Sponsor more tennis socials like: Couples Round Robins
· Assist in the RMSTC Tennis Tournament
· A RMSTC trip to the Boston Lobsters (tennis team). – July 16th!
· Have RMSTC sponsor a trip to the 2010 Hall of Fame Tennis Championship in Newport, RI in July 2009, www.tennisfame.com.
· Host the 2009 Swim-Dive and Tennis Team Banquet!
· Your new idea! Please come and share it!
