Family Memberships
There are four types of Family Memberships at Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club: Bonded,
Seasonal, Sustaining, and August. All
members are welcome to use
the amenities of the club. Lounge by the pool, lob a tennis ball around one of the four
illuminated tennis courts, have the children enjoy a game of tennis baseball, or
grill the families dinner on one of the many grills available. Free swim,
diving, and lap swimming is available in the large pool.
Bonded families have purchased a piece of the club with their bond ownership. Additionally, these are the voting club members - they approve the annual budget, by-laws and club operations. Bonded members can hold a seat on the board and cast their vote for the direction of the Club. Family bonded members are permitted to invite quests at the going rate. Other perks include reduced annual membership dues and clubhouse rental fees, as well as priority activity sign-up. The bond purchased is refundable upon written resignation from the club and receipt of the original bond by the Treasurer of Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club.
Annual 2010 Dues = $690.00 (includes $50 Member-voted Capital Improvement Assessment)
Purchase of Bond = $600 (refunded when give up your Membership in the Club)
Seasonal Family Membership
Families who do not wish to purchase a bond when they originally join the club, have the opportunity to be seasonal family members. They retain the same
privileges as the bonded members with respect to the use of the club.
However, they cannot hold an office or vote. Seasonal family members can covert to Bonded prior to May
1st of each year.
Annual 2010 Dues = $790.00
(includes $50 Member-voted Capital Improvement Assessment)
Sustaining Family Membership
Families who have been bonded members of the Club for fifteen consecutive years and whose children are over 18 years of age, have the privilege of becoming
sustaining family members. To become a sustaining member, bonded family members must apply in writing to the Board of Directors, PO. Box 13, Chelmsford,
MA 01824.
The annual dues for a sustaining family membership is one-half the annual dues paid by the Bonded Family membership.
August Membership
Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club has a new membership specifically for families on our waiting list.
This membership begins the first day of August and continues until the close of the Russell Mill
Season on Labor Day. Members will have full use of the swimming
pools and tennis courts as well as the clubhouse and Club functions. August members are permitted to invite guests at the going rate.
August 2010 Dues = $325.00
Single Memberships
There are four types of single memberships at Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club,
including bonded, seasonal, sustaining, and Chelmsford High School Swim and Dive Team
Membership.
Bonded Single Memberships
This type of membership offers similar amenities as the Bonded Family Membership, however only one family member can participate in the Club. Single
bonded members are permitted to invite guests at the going rate.
Annual 2010 Dues = $375.00
(includes $25 Member-voted Capital Improvement Assessment)
Seasonal Single Memberships
This type of membership offers similar amenities as the Seasonal Family Membership, however only one family member can participate in the Club. Single
seasonal members are permitted to invite guests at the going rate.
Annual 2010 Dues = $425.00
(includes $25 Member-voted Capital Improvement Assessment)
Sustaining Single Membership
This type of membership offers similar amenities as the Sustaining Family Membership, however only one family member can participate in the Club. Single
bonded members are permitted to invite guests at the going rate.
The annual dues for a sustaining family membership is one-half the annual dues paid by the
Sustaining Single membership.
Chelmsford High School Swim, Dive, Tennis Team Memberships
Members of the Chelmsford High School Boys and Girls Swim, Dive, and Tennis Teams are eligible to participate in the Russell Mill Swim and Dive Team.
This membership type only allows privileges during swim and dive practice and meet days. Members of this standing are not allowed use of any of the club
amenities. They are not permitted to invite guests.
Annual 2010 Dues = $250.00
Other Membership Information
GuestsMembers can invite guests to the Club for a $3.00/person/day charge. Grandparents are welcome at any time, free of charge.
Babysitters
Some members have daily sitters for their children. The annual cost for their attendance at the club is $60.00.
Membership Application
Anyone interested in membership at Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club must fill out an
online Membership Application and mail
your check to Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club, P.O. Box 13, Chelmsford,
MA 01824. There is a $25.00 non-refundable application fee.
Membership Initiation Fee
There is a one time, non-refundable $100.00 Membership Initiation Fee due upon acceptance of membership with Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club.
