About Russell Mill
Russell Mill has many activities to offer its members, including:
Four solid surface tennis courts (illuminated at night)
A large swimming pool with diving and swim team competition area
A kiddy pool for the little ones to have a place of their own
Comfortable lounge chairs and umbrella tables and chairs on the pool deck
A spacious club house with a patio deck that can be rented for special occasions
One half-court basketball area
A tennis practice wall
A shaded picnic area with grills and picnic tables
A snack bar with a wide variety of offerings
A large grassy area for wiffle ball, volleyball, or the popular "tennis baseball"
A calendar of events to offer you fun family activities all summer long
Russell Mill Swim & Tennis is owned and operated by its members. Many members volunteer their time, and this helps to keep membership dues very reasonable. Membership is limited, which ensures ample access to the facilities for all members. Our Pool opens Memorial Day Weekend and closes Labor Day. The Tennis courts are open mid-March to November, weather permitting. We have competitive Swimming, Diving and Tennis teams and offer Swimming, Diving and Tennis lessons.
Everyones favorite area of the club seems to be the shaded picnic and grilling area. It is outfitted with many picnic tables and several grills, both charcoal and propane. Our spacious clubhouse and deck can be rented out for special occasions.
Monday through Thursday, swimming and tennis lessons are available for children of all ages. Adults can learn too! The Club has a
Swim and Dive Team and an A and B Tennis Team for children 18 and under. Arts and crafts are a favorite with the adults and children
as are the club social events.
Russell Mill Swim and Tennis Club is fortunate enough to have a spacious clubhouse with a large deck overlooking the pool and tennis
courts that members can utilize for parties and gatherings. Amenities of the Clubhouse include a fireplace, kitchen with stove, microwave, and refrigerator,
sitting areas and restrooms.
The new (2009) Member Lounge is located very close to the pool and is equipped
with a refrigerator, microwave, small table, and a couch. It's a great little
place to make your lunch or duck out of the sun for a few moments. It's
proximity to the pool is especially convenient.
We are a non-profit organization. All of the money raised through membership and other sources goes directly back to operating the club and capital improvement projects.
